'Karnataka will top human development by 2025'

Abstract:
Notwithstanding the present infrastructural bottlenecks, uneven regional development and corruption, Karnataka will be a leader in human development indices by 2025, according to a new vision document.

'Karnataka Vision 2025', brought out IIM-Banglore foresees that the state has the potential to be within the top three ranks on an all India basis on human development indicators by 2025.

In 2025, the state should also have a leadership position in software and information technology-based services, biotechnology, nanotechnology and light engineering industry, particularly precision engineering.
