Hector Garcia Joins Particle Sciences as Director of Quality Assurance

Bethlehem, PA | Posted on April 28th, 2009

Mr. Garcia joins Particle Sciences following more than 30 years experience in pharmaceutical quality and operations management. Most recently, he served Wyeth as Senior Director of Quality Operations. Prior to that, Mr. Garcia held senior management positions at Baxter Healthcare, Schering Plough, and Chelsea Laboratories. His areas of expertise include clinical manufacturing operations, commercial quality operations, site management, and managing successful relationships with the FDA, MHRA, and third party customers internationally.

Dr. Lee comments, "Hector brings a wealth of experience to the Particle Sciences team and a high level of maturity to our QA infrastructure. His background fits perfectly with our continued focus on building a strong quality system to support or advanced product development capabilities. Particle Sciences routinely deals with formulation-challenged API's and nanotechnology based systems. Hector has deep experience with a variety of dosage forms as well as in clinical trial material manufacturing, another area Particle Sciences is expanding".
