Tech group gets bigger -- in part to think small
Abstract:
One of the major tech industry associations launched during the Internet era, the Massachusetts Interactive Media Council, is planning to change its name and widen its scope - in part to embrace nanotechnology. MIMC's new name - the Massachusetts Innovation and Technology Exchange - allows the group to wrap its arms around any new technology that comes along. One will be an interactive media "track," as Weber calls it, which will include all of MIMC's existing members - companies that design websites, CD-ROMs, and software. Another will be a nanotech track.
