Hitachi to invest $US 95 million in Fuel Cell and Nanotechnology

Abstract:
Hitachi Ltd. from this fiscal year plans to have its group companies invest a total of about Y10 billion ($US95.99 million) yen annually in basic research to accelerate the development of promising new areas such as fuel cells and nanotechnology. Under a new approach, Hitachi will have its group firms fund research into new technologies with mid- to long-term potential based on such factors as sales.
