UNM snaps up teens' project
Abstract:
Eldorado High School's winning Adventures in Supercomputing Challenge project won't die out after the school's victory celebration is over. It will become part of a University of New Mexico research project funded by the National Science Foundation - an impressive feat for a group of high school kids, said their mentor, Susan Atlas, a physics research professor at UNM. It could also help nanotechnology scientists design tiny machines smaller than a human blood cell, the team said.
