India strives for a place in nanotech world
Abstract:
Wrist watches that can store 1,000 compact disc loads of data. Robots that foray into the human body to deliver drugs at a specified spot or fix defective genes. India is making efforts to ensure that it is not left behind. A nano-science initiative of the Department of Science and Technology (DST) that began in 2003 has now identified and equipped research units in the country to carry India's nano-tech hopes forward.
