€7m research institute to be built in Cork
Abstract:
Tánaiste Mary Harney said the Government was to invest an initial €7m in the National Institute for Networking and Electronics Research. The project will be based at University College Cork and will conduct work in the areas of electronics, photonics and networking technologies. “Applications of nanotechnology are emerging which will impact on the life of every citizen,” Ms Harney said.
