Venture Capital: Nanotech may take years to hit it big
Abstract:
Fog-free sunglasses, stain-resistant pants and lightweight antennas that can quickly transmit data are just some of the ways that nanotechnology is transforming a world that really is becoming a smaller place. But nanotechnology -- a nearly 25-year-old science that promises changes in fields from cancer research to semiconductor design by creating materials on an ultra-small scale -- may be years away from hitting the big time.
