CMU attracts emerging biotechnology laboratory
Abstract:
In the future, ACT will join Dendritic NanoTechnologies Inc. and MultiGEN Diagnostics Inc. in relocating to a $5 million CMU wet lab facility that is supported by a $2.15 million U.S. Department of Commerce grant, $250,000 in Michigan Economic Development Corp. funding and $2.6 million from CMU. The company is commercialising a new nanotechnology involving designed polypeptides that may lead to treatments for many health conditions and opportunities for research for CMU faculty and students.
