Abstract:
Another niche example is Harris & Harris Group (TINY: 14.16, -0.59, -4.0%), which received substantial media attention as one of the pure plays focused on nanotechnology, or what they refer to as "tiny technology." The firm currently boasts investments in 25 private companies such as Bridgelux, Mersana Therapeutics and NanoGram Corporation. Given the speculative nature of (and lack of profits at) many of these development-stage firms, Harris & Harris does not currently pay a dividend. At $15, the stock looks ready to challenge the upper ceiling of a channel it has been marking for almost two years.
