First Deputy PM to head new gov't council
Abstract:
First Russian Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov has been appointed as the head of a new nanotechnologies governmental council, the press office of the Russian government reported today.
The council has been created to ensure cooperation between Russian businesses, the government, and the scientific community in the development of nanotechnologies as part of a presidential program. The new government body will review, analyze, and draft proposals in the sphere of development and implementation of new ideas in the nanotechnology industry, as well as form a market for the industry's products and services.
