HN: EU to fund establishment of top Czech scientific centres
Abstract:
The Czech Republic may have new world-level research centres within several years thanks to the EU operational programme Research and Development for Innovation, the daily Hospodarske noviny (HN) writes Monday.
The country may draw up to 70 billion crowns from the EU programme in the next five years and the money is to go to top science only.
The Czech centres would deal with biomedicine, materials science and engineering, and nanotechnology, the paper writes.
