Green Earth Technologies, Inc. Appoints William J. (Jeff) Marshall as New President and CEO

STAMFORD, CT | Posted on February 4th, 2008

Green Earth Technologies, Inc. (Pink Sheets: GETG), a manufacturer and marketer of environmentally friendly consumer products, today appointed Jeff Marshall to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer, effective February 4, 2008. Mr. Marshall will also join Green Earth's Board of Directors. Mr. Marshall is a seasoned executive and venture capitalist who, over a 30-year career, has helped many early stage companies grow to be significant companies in their market space. Dr. Mat Zuckerman, founder of GET, will assume the positions of Chairman and Chief Technology Officer.

Mr. Marshall most recently served as Managing Partner of CRT Private Equity, the Private Equity investment arm of CRT Capital Group. Prior to founding CRT Private Equity, he was Senior Managing Partner at VantagePoint Venture Partners with over $3.5 Billion under management and four technology investment funds. Prior to VantagePoint, Mr. Marshall spent 11 years at Bear Stearns & Co., directing the company's technology strategies, as Senior Managing Director, Chief Technology Officer and Head of the Communications Technologies Group (CTG).

His proven experience has come from working with leading technology companies in marketing, brand development, and technology development. Mr. Marshall also contributed at the CEO or Board level to such companies as QuantumClean, Insoft, Netscape, Network Equipment Technologies, Puresoft, Remedy, Synoptics, and Wellfleet. Mr. Marshall was selected by Communications Week as an "Industry Visionary" on multiple occasions, has four times been voted as one of the "25 Most Influential Leaders" in the technology industry and was named "1997 User of the Year" by Network World. He has also been highlighted by Institutional Investor as a technology leader representing both the buy and sell sides in innovative technology trends and served as a Board member of the Securities Industry Association Technology Committee.

A resident of Greenwich, CT, Mr. Marshall received bachelor's degrees in both Finance and Computer Applications & Information Systems from New York University and is a graduate of the Harvard Management Program in Strategic Technology and Business Development.
