'Intelligent bioscience' is future technology
Abstract:
A new science called 'Intelligent Bioscience will be born when nano technology and information communication technology meet, with linkage of biotechnology, Dr A Shivathanu Pillai, CEO and MD of Brahmos, said on Saturday.
"...which (the technology) would lead to a disease free, happy and more intelligent human habitat with longetivity and high human capabilities", Pillai said while delivering the graduation day address at a private college here.
This convergent technology could lead to development of nano robots, which when injected into a patient would diagnose and deliver treatment exclusively in the affected area, he added.
He said nano-robots would get digested, as it was a DNA based product.
Nanotechnology would help in the development of systems like artery cleaner for cleaning of blocked arteries leading to prevention of heart attacks, nano neuro transmitters for repair of neurons in the brain, bio chips, glucose detection and endoscopic implants and for rectification of defective eye and ear, he added.
