H.P. dental nano firm inks first distributor

Abstract:
DentalSafe, a two-year-old firm that applies nanotechnology to the dental industry, will bring its first products to market through Canadian manufacturer Germiphene.

The partnership introduces DentalSafe to professional dental markets worth more than $1 billion worldwide for antimicrobial cleansers and other products for dental offices, according to company officials.

"This will mean additional revenues and employees" for DentalSafe, said Chief Operating Officer Dixon Johnston, though he declined to make specific projections and said growth will take time. "Germiphene has a global presence, with the exception actually being here in the U.S. This should smooth the way, though, so I think by early next year we'll see aggressive marketing in the U.S."
