Nano degree prepares to launch: Ivy Tech in S.B. will offer first nanotechnology associate degree program in Indiana
Abstract:
Abdollah Aghdasi's days are busy, drafting a new curriculum, recruiting students and spreading the message about nanotechnology and its potential.
"I like the fact that I'm starting from ground zero, developing the courses and building the program. It's quite a challenge," said Aghdasi, who was hired in March as chair of the nanotechnology program at Ivy Tech Community College in South Bend.
Starting in August, the first course toward an associate degree in nanotechnology will be offered at the South Bend campus. It's the first such degree program in Indiana.
