JPK Instruments opens offices in Japan

Berlin, Germany | Posted on July 7th, 2009

With a growing market offering increased opportunities in Japan, JPK Instruments has opened offices in the Koto-ku district of Tokyo and appointed experienced AFM specialist Nobuhiro Saito as country manager. Mr Saito graduated from the Tokyo University of Science in 1997 with a degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering. Since then, after working with a device manufacturer, he has developed his skills in instrumentation as a sales engineer for the Toyo Corporation specialising in AFM.

Welcoming Mr Saito to the organisation, JPK's General Sales Manager, Gerd Behme, said he is looking forward to seeing the development of a sales and support team in Japan. "Saitoh-san brings a wealth of experience through working in a highly technical and applications driven market and we are happy he has chosen to continue his career with us." The goal of JPK Instruments is to provide customers dealing with problems on the nanoscale with the best instruments and best services for their needs by bridging the worlds of nanotechnology tools and life science applications with cutting-edge technology and unique applications expertise. The product range has grown from an AFM designed specifically for bio applications to include exciting new instruments such as the world's first integrated optical tweezers platform, the NanoTracker™ and an automated platform to study force interactions at the molecular level with the ForceRobot®.
